Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the ViaSteps app and website ("ViaSteps") collect, why, and what choices you have. ViaSteps is provided by DEVOPZONE EOOD ("we", "us"), which is the data controller. Contact: support@viasteps.com.
- Your trips, routes, photos and notes are stored on your device.
- We do not sell your data, show ads or track you across other apps and websites.
- Analytics and crash reports are only sent if you agree, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings.
- You can delete your account and its server data from inside the app.
1. Using ViaSteps as a guest
You can use the local features without an account. In guest mode your data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.
2. Data we collect
Account data
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a user identifier, your name and your email address (with Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your email). We use Google Firebase Authentication to manage sign-in. We store your account profile on our servers so you can sign in again.
Location
With your permission, ViaSteps uses your precise location to record the route of an active trip, tag steps and show nearby places. If you allow "Always", the route can continue to be recorded in the background during an active trip. Route and location data are stored on your device. Map search uses Apple Maps (MapKit). You can change location access at any time in iOS Settings.
Photos, camera, microphone and speech
With your permission, ViaSteps accesses your photo library or camera to add pictures to your trips, and saves exported stories and books to your library. Voice memories are recorded only when you tap Record, and speech recognition runs on your device. These files stay on your device. If you upload an image to your account (for example a profile photo), it is stored on our servers.
Purchases
Subscriptions (ViaSteps Plus) are sold and paid through Apple. We never receive your card details. We store the signed transaction information that Apple provides, so that we can give your account access to the features you bought.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we store your device's push notification token to send you notifications.
Safety reports and blocks
If you report content or block another user, we store the report (target, reason and any details you add) or the block, to keep the service safe.
Analytics and crash reports (only with your consent)
If you agree in the app, we use Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. This data includes app interactions, crash and performance diagnostics, a device identifier and approximate location derived from your connection. It is not used for advertising. You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings; unsent crash reports are then deleted from your device.
3. Why we use your data (legal bases)
- To provide the app and your account (performance of a contract).
- Location, photos, camera and microphone: only with the iOS permission you grant (consent).
- Analytics and crash reports: only with your consent in the app.
- Safety reports, blocks and fraud prevention: our legitimate interest in a safe service.
- Purchase records: to deliver what you bought and to meet legal obligations.
4. Who processes your data
- Google (Firebase Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring) for sign-in and, with your consent, analytics.
- Microsoft Azure, which hosts our servers and database in the European Union (North Europe region).
- Apple for Sign in with Apple, payments, push notifications and maps.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under EU law, such as Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell or share your personal data for advertising.
5. How long we keep data
We keep account data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and server data. Uploaded images may take up to 30 days to be fully removed from backups. We may keep purchase records for as long as the law requires.
6. Deleting your account
In the app, open Settings, then Account, then Delete Account. After you confirm, we delete your account and its server data, and, if you used Sign in with Apple, revoke the app's access to your Apple ID. Data stored only on your device is removed from the app as part of deletion. You can also write to support@viasteps.com.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, contact support@viasteps.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children
ViaSteps is not intended for children under 13. In the European Economic Area, you must be at least 16, or older if your country requires it. We do not knowingly collect data from children below these ages. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. On our servers, each account can only access its own records. You can lock the app with Face ID.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.

1. Misafir olarak kullanım
Yerel özellikleri hesap açmadan kullanabilirsin. Misafir modunda verilerin cihazında kalır, sunucularımıza gönderilmez.
2. Topladığımız veriler
Hesap verileri
Apple ya da Google ile giriş yaptığında bir kullanıcı kimliği, adını ve e-posta adresini alırız (Apple ile girişte e-postanı gizlemeyi seçebilirsin). Girişi yönetmek için Google Firebase Authentication kullanırız. Tekrar giriş yapabilmen için hesap profilini sunucularımızda saklarız.
Konum
İzin verirsen ViaSteps, aktif bir gezinin rotasını kaydetmek, adımları etiketlemek ve yakındaki yerleri göstermek için hassas konumunu kullanır. "Her zaman" iznini verirsen rota, aktif gezi sırasında arka planda da kaydedilebilir. Rota ve konum verileri cihazında saklanır. Harita araması Apple Haritalar (MapKit) ile yapılır. Konum iznini iOS Ayarlar'dan istediğin zaman değiştirebilirsin.
Fotoğraflar, kamera, mikrofon ve konuşma
İzin verirsen ViaSteps gezilerine fotoğraf eklemek için fotoğraf arşivine ya da kameraya erişir, dışa aktardığın hikâye ve kitapları arşivine kaydeder. Sesli anılar yalnız Kaydet'e dokunduğunda kaydedilir; konuşma tanıma cihazında çalışır. Bu dosyalar cihazında kalır. Hesabına bir görsel yüklersen (örneğin profil fotoğrafı) bu görsel sunucularımızda saklanır.
Satın almalar
Abonelikler (ViaSteps Plus) Apple üzerinden satılır ve ödenir. Kart bilgilerin bize hiç ulaşmaz. Satın aldığın özellikleri hesabına açabilmek için Apple'ın verdiği imzalı işlem bilgisini saklarız.
Bildirimler
Bildirimlere izin verirsen, sana bildirim gönderebilmek için cihazının bildirim anahtarını (push token) saklarız.
Şikâyet ve engellemeler
Bir içeriği şikâyet edersen ya da bir kullanıcıyı engellersen, hizmeti güvenli tutmak için şikâyeti (hedef, neden ve eklediğin ayrıntılar) ya da engellemeyi saklarız.
Analiz ve çökme raporları (yalnız onayınla)
Uygulamada onay verirsen, uygulamanın nasıl kullanıldığını anlamak ve çökmeleri düzeltmek için Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics ve Performance Monitoring kullanırız. Bu veriler uygulama içi etkileşimleri, çökme ve performans tanılarını, bir cihaz kimliğini ve bağlantından çıkarılan yaklaşık konumu içerir. Reklam için kullanılmaz. Onayını Ayarlar'dan istediğin zaman geri alabilirsin; o zaman gönderilmemiş çökme raporları cihazından silinir.
3. Verileri neden kullanıyoruz (hukuki dayanak)
- Uygulamayı ve hesabını sunmak için (sözleşmenin ifası).
- Konum, fotoğraf, kamera ve mikrofon: yalnız iOS'ta verdiğin izinle (açık rıza).
- Analiz ve çökme raporları: yalnız uygulamada verdiğin onayla.
- Şikâyet, engelleme ve kötüye kullanımın önlenmesi: güvenli bir hizmet sunmaktaki meşru menfaatimiz.
- Satın alma kayıtları: satın aldığını sunmak ve yasal yükümlülükleri yerine getirmek için.
4. Verilerini kimler işler
- Google (Firebase Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring): giriş için ve onay verirsen analiz için.
- Microsoft Azure: sunucularımızı ve veritabanımızı Avrupa Birliği'nde (Kuzey Avrupa bölgesi) barındırır.
- Apple: Apple ile giriş, ödemeler, bildirimler ve haritalar için.
Bu sağlayıcıların bazıları verileri Avrupa Ekonomik Alanı dışında işleyebilir. Bu durumda AB hukukunun tanıdığı güvenceleri (örneğin Standart Sözleşme Hükümleri) kullanırlar. Kişisel verilerini reklam amacıyla satmayız ya da paylaşmayız.
5. Verileri ne kadar saklarız
Hesap verilerini hesabın var olduğu sürece saklarız. Hesabını sildiğinde profilini ve sunucudaki verilerini sileriz. Yüklenen görsellerin yedeklerden tamamen kaldırılması 30 güne kadar sürebilir. Satın alma kayıtlarını yasanın gerektirdiği süre boyunca tutabiliriz.
6. Hesabını silmek
Uygulamada Ayarlar, sonra Hesap, sonra Hesabı sil adımlarını izle. Onayladığında hesabını ve sunucudaki verilerini sileriz; Apple ile giriş yaptıysan uygulamanın Apple Kimliğine erişimini de iptal ederiz. Yalnız cihazında duran veriler de silme sırasında uygulamadan kaldırılır. Bize support@viasteps.com adresinden de yazabilirsin.
7. Hakların
Yaşadığın yere göre kişisel verilerine erişme, düzeltme, silme ve dışa aktarma, işlenmesine itiraz etme ya da kısıtlama ve onayını istediğin zaman geri alma hakların olabilir. Bu hakları kullanmak için support@viasteps.com adresine yaz. Bulunduğun ülkedeki veri koruma kurumuna şikâyette bulunma hakkın da vardır.
8. Çocuklar
ViaSteps 13 yaşından küçük çocuklar için değildir. Avrupa Ekonomik Alanı'nda en az 16 yaşında (ülken daha yüksek bir yaş istiyorsa o yaşta) olmalısın. Bu yaşların altındaki çocuklardan bilerek veri toplamayız. Bir çocuğun bize veri verdiğini düşünüyorsan bize yaz, sileriz.
9. Güvenlik
Veriler şifreli bağlantılarla gönderilir. Sunucularımızda her hesap yalnız kendi kayıtlarına erişebilir. Uygulamayı Face ID ile kilitleyebilirsin.
10. Değişiklikler
Bu politikayı değiştirirsek yukarıdaki tarihi güncelleriz; önemli değişiklikleri uygulamada da bildiririz.
